What to expect Sunday mornings:

On Sunday mornings, during the 10:45 a.m. service, we offer Sunday school for children; our Sunday School groups follow a traditional grade assignment. Our Sunday School program develops Biblical literacy by systematically going through the Bible and teaches children to always look for a "Christ connection"— the Bible’s big story is God rescuing humankind through the work of Jesus. Our Sunday school is led by volunteers who generously give their time to develop the next generation in the Church.

During the 8:30 a.m. service, childcare is offered for children in the nursery/toddler room. Children should be dropped off and signed in by a parent, grandparent, or guardian.

During Adult Sunday School (10 a.m.), there is a supervised cereal bar for children (preschool and older) in the Undercroft and childcare available in the nursery for babies and toddlers.

During the 10:45am service, children should be dropped off and signed in by a parent, grandparent, or guardian in the following locations for age-appropriate programs. Babies and toddlers are welcomed in the nursery, which is located on the first floor of the church. Preschool children (must be 3 years old by Aug 2024 and potty trained) and kindergarteners are dropped off upstairs in the preschool room. You may pick up your children for communion or pick them up at the end of the service. Grade school children are dropped off in the Undercroft, located in the basement of the church. Children will be escorted to the Main Sanctuary and join you for Communion. Middle schoolers are invited to participate in a catechism class in the Undercroft and will return to the Main Sanctuary for Communion.

Throughout the year, we provide different opportunities for children, parents, and families to encourage friendships and relationships among the St. Clement’s community and to foster spiritual growth.

  • Vacation Bible School is the last week of June.
  • Fall Festival/Trunk-or-Treat is the last Saturday in October.
  • The Christmas Nativity program is on December 24, with practices the weeks leading up to the pageant.

We would love to get to know you! Reach our Children's Ministry Director, Megan Sheehan at megan@stclements.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Your Children's Safety

The safety of your kids is our first concern.

  • All children are to be checked in at the appropriate classroom and will only be released to parents or approved family members.
  • Parents are given a pager in case they are needed during the service.
  • All volunteers and employees of St. Clement have undergone a background check and are known the church to be living examples of the love of Christ to our kids.
  • Additionally, many volunteers and all employees have First Aid and CPR certification.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the ministry by email.
